Do you happen to know Sherman Hankster?

hankster 09-26-2012 10:09 AM

haha, no sure don't

RowTarEEE 09-26-2012 05:10 PM

Ah. My friend is telling me to sign up for the autocross run. I might go just to watch. He stated two of his friends with him signed up for STR and at the that time, it was only his s2k, some other car, and an fr-s signed up. I thought it would be you

Welcome to the club - I have never autocrossed in my life either. But I will be doing the Rookie Skool the day before.

Looks like there are 4 of us (FR-S) for this event so far. One is running in STR class.

Hey, where are the BRZ's!!!

Why not, if you're going to come out might as well try it with the rest of us beginners

I'd like to do the Rookie Skool, but my employer and friend said that would give me an unfair advantage. I was raised in Katy btw.

Maybe I should just do it.

Well check out the Rookie Skool roster - 35 people so far and 2 are FR-S. And the Sunday event will have plenty of veterans. I think of it as if I didn't go to Rookie Skool I would be at even worse disadvantage. Besides, it's just another day of fun learning how to truly drive the new car :burnrubber:

PhastekSport 09-26-2012 11:12 PM

Before yesterday, I didn't have time to really check out the fun button.... Wow.

My FJ doesn't have sways and is lifted though, so anything is an improvement. I'm going to go home in a bit and sign up for it.

3 now!

My car is still not broken in, though it may hit 1,000 miles by the 7th. But I don't feel comfortable autocrossing the FR-S yet. I have autocrossed my RX-8 before and i've autocrossed an automatic FR-S at that scion test drive event. I may just come watch

PhastekSport 09-27-2012 01:28 PM

1025 here and might actually go to Uvalde again. Nixed the Colorado trip. Should have the Hotchkis springs installed by then, but that will be it I believe. Need to look towards bigger mods so I'll be saving a tad.

I haven't signed up, but I'll be there running in RTR. I have been autocrossing with the Houston Region for 5+ years, so if anyone has any questions, I'll try to answer them for you.

good reason. My engine seemed to "wake up", loosen up, at around 1800 miles. It was very noticeable and my average mpg also made a little +2 jump. I'm coming up on 3000 miles now.
