Sad night for me (Need front bumper)

Hey guys, ended up getting too wild in a wet corner tonight. Slid a bit going about 15mph and struck a sandstone rock in a driveway. So far the only damage looks like the front bumper being completely wrecked.

I need help finding a replacement bumper from Subaru already painted the original black. The AC condensor is pushed in a bit but the AC still works.

I'm pretty upset and don't know where to turn for a new front bumper. Is anyone able to help me to find a new bumper painted the Subaru metallic black?

Thanks in advance for the help guys and needless to say my lesson has been learned. I'm lucky the damage wasn't more comprehensive.

Any other advice is greatly appreciated as well. Thanks again!

Before I get ahead of myself, you crashed on a 15mph slide!?!

Eh, I guess it may have been faster. I didn't really look at the speedometer. I suck.

Damn, sorry to hear. The dealership seems like your only choice for now. Hit up one of the dealerships here to see if they might be able to hook you up.

It took my dealership 2 months to get a bumper and headlight for my BRZ (sales managers son ran it into a wall)

I plan on calling the dealer tomorrow and seeing how much a new bumper is going to run me. Everyone is closed by now.

Wow, sharris. That's what I was worried about but pretty much assumed this would be the case. Looks like I have to drive around looking like the jackass I am for a couple months.

Live and learn I guess.

No, not really in particular. Took a pretty tight corner in the wet on a thin backroad. Wanted to induce a little bit of oversteer for fun but ended up with too much. Tried to get it back but I think the traction control cut the power so I resorted to braking but wasn't able to slow down enough.

I am really surprised that so many of these things are suffering frontal damage. I expected them to be backed into guardrails.

Did it happen in Cleveland or down in Georgia? I know it has been raining around here today. I have seen that front bumper covers sell for $320. Then you have to get it painted to match. Hopefully nothing else is bent under there. You need to check so you do not cause additional (expensive) problems. Good luck with your repairs.

any pictures? did you have traction control on, sport or off?

Maybe it is time to consider a new upgrade front bumper!

Tell your insurance company you hit something and get in the rental

I'll have pictures up for you guys later today. Traction control was in sport. I may have been better off with it off but who knows. It felt like it cut too much of the power to the rear so I couldn't really get out of the slide and just had to brake. But with it completely off it could have been worse. No way to really tell.

It was in Cleveland. I thought about getting an aftermarket bumper but I honestly like the stock on the best. I plan on getting estimates today and probably make a claim on my insurance.

Why not go through insurance?
