Fatal Ferrari Crash Closes PCH

Pretty cool, huh? These guys really did a nice job.

I love it when this happens.

MF_DEUCE 09-18-2011 07:08 PM

Are you sarcastically commenting on someone's death?

Marrk 09-18-2011 07:17 PM

If I thought that that guy was worthy of any comment at all, my comment might be a sarcastic one. But, in fact, I couldn't care less about the guy.

You have a problem with stupid people who meet a just and fitting end?

chulooz 09-18-2011 07:58 PM

And who are you to decide what a just and fitting end is? You dont know the full story behind their death. Those are people, glad to hear you have compassion for fellow man.

Marrk 09-18-2011 08:08 PM

Who am I? I'm nobody. Just some guy sitting on the sidelines, watching the great cavalcade of life go by. :bellyroll:

The whole story? That they were, in addition to being stupid, drunk or high? How fast can you go on PCH before stupid becomes the whole story?

I don't care what anyone does, but, in a case like this, I'm not going to lose any sleep over the outcome.

Keep in mind that events like this give law enforcement, and residents of Malibu, and L.M.M.A.E. (Loud-Mouthed Mothers Against Everything) an excuse to clamp down on the rest of us. Care to be banned from Malibu? Care to see all sports cars banned?

Franisco 09-18-2011 08:25 PM

I'd have to agree. I dont have patience for stupid

MF_DEUCE 09-18-2011 08:30 PM

I can understand why you'd be upset. I get the same way when it comes to people who drive like this at canyons, but i don't post up sarcastic remarks regarding another human beings death.

It's like chulooz said, you don't know the whole story and all you have is speculation on what happened. Just because he drove a specific car you made an assumption that he's entirely at fault. But if this were another (less exotic) vehicle then im sure we wouldn't be having this discussion.

So, i understand what you're saying but sarcastic remarks such as the one you posted aren't going to be welcomed or appreciated very much.

SUB-FT86 09-18-2011 09:06 PM

If it was something drug or alcohol related or just acting stupid in a supercar then I agree with Marrk but if it was something else like the car had a issue or he tried to dodge a squirrel then I would feel for the guy. Like chulooz and MR-uezga said we don't really know what happened.

I'm sorry you're not going to welcome and appreciate my remarks. Especially since I was really counting on you to be my BMF. Oh, well.

What difference does the type of car make?

Does anyone here care to guess how fast you have to be going to split a Ferrari in half with a phone pole? 120 mph? 140 mph? 180 mph? Are you suggesting that this guy was minding his own business, doing the posted 35 mph, when, inexplicably, his car went out of control and accelerated to 150 mph?

MR, I like you. You are obviously a nice young man who loves his mother. But you are much too sentimental about life. This f.-er bought the famous farm. He screwed the pouch. He f.-ed up. It was his own doing and he paid the price. So what? He's one less squid for you and me to avoid on the roads.

Kage 09-18-2011 10:11 PM

I feel for the passenger, and the family and friends of both. With that much damage the car had to be going really fast so yeah...had to be drivers fault...especially in a 35mph

We got lucky this time. Only the self-selected car crashers were involved. No bystanders.

MF_DEUCE 09-18-2011 11:45 PM

Ok. lol

"CBS2′s Joy Benedict says the driver had a suspended license. He had three prior arrests for DUI and the fact he was even driving angered Price’s parents. Said his father Max Price II, “I hope he lives — to pay the consequences for what he did to my son.”"

RRnold 09-19-2011 04:40 AM

Damn, split that thing right in half!

RIP to the driver no matter how much of a fool he was.
