Wheel Directory: Klutch SL14 18x8.5 +35 / 18x9.5 +30

Everyone has seen these photos of IAG Performance's BRZ. I loved the setup, but couldn't find any info. I did some emailing and enquiring to get their setup info so that @DarrenDriven can get the info added to the wheel fitment guide. Klutch Republik SL14 Lowered on BC Racing coilovers Front: 18x8.5 +35 (235/40) Rear: 18x9.5 +30 (245/40) Rolled and lightly pulled fenders to fit. http://www.klutchrepublik.com/blog/subaru-brz http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8315/7...b4a4c604_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8296/7...5ca502b4_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8454/7...779cc572_b.jpg |
Thank you for the pictures. Very nice choice on the rims. The car looks great. I am having a hard time deciding what to get. May I ask what colour they are? is that silver or chrome or something else. Thanks for the help.
|
I think they are just machined. Not chrome.
|
Yup, silver machined.
I hadn't seen these before. Holy crap they look way more expensive than they actually are! |

Yea wheels looks great on this red brz.
40 series with slight pull and roll? Maybe some 35s would clear with no modding fenders? |
That or potentially a 225/235 vs 235/245
|
Wowie. These are definitely in the running for what wheels I get!
|
Did some numbers, and looks like fender mods wouldn't be needed unless you wanted to go as low as their BRZ.
18x9.5 +30 is equal to 18x10 +38, (technically 1.65mm different. Equates to 0.064" more poke on the +30) which is a package being sold now. See link. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15458 Looks like it would be feasible with a bit less aggressive drop with 225/40 up front and 245/35 on the rear. Camber set to -1 front and -2.5 rear. |

We're not the first to fit these wheels, but I thought I'd share the results. The car is lowered 1 inch on Eibach Pro Kit. Very happy with how it turned out!
