I'll try to do a video when I do mine. So far I've only done a video on the install of a universal RAM mount for an Ipad. Probably not very popular unless you want to mount a phone using the same thing.

DDM Tuning for sure. I know the guys that own it. I've bought at least 5 kits from them.

Pray tell me what your understanding of 5000K vs. 6000K is. As a science educator, I am always tickled about how mild-level science concepts make it to the masses and how the concept is understood 'on the ground'. The explanations of my students are usually incomplete but adequate as to not induce the dreaded face-palm.

Not trying to dig, just trying to understand how certain bits of info get into the common dialogue.

I think I'm going to be a guinea pig with some 6000k lights from eBay. Hopefully the Kelvin rating is close to accurate. I'm not too worried of an electrical fire. The worse thing I can imagine happening is failure due to poor products or vibrations. I'll keep the stock bulbs in the vehicle at all times. I've had many kits.

My FJ is using LED lighting for the headlights. Too bad I don't have that option.

THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT still not exactly sure what to use i just dont want my car to set on fire lol!

My understanding is that 6000K describes the "colour temperature" of the illuminated bulb in Kelvin. The higher the temperature description, the closer to the purple end of the visable spectrum will be emitted.

Not sure if that 6000 K is the actual temp of anything in particular (excited Xenon gas in a controlled environment?), though I highly doubt the gas in those bulbs actually reaches 6000 K.

So, apparently the colour light emitted from the bulb resembles "something" at 6000 K.

You really wont set your car on fire if you know what youre doing. Just make sure you get 35w not 55w. I believe 55w is too high for the wiring and housing if im not mistaken.

Make sure the kit you are getting comes with a beefed up relay harness.

Are you getting 6000k for the color? or are you looking for maximum light output (4300K)?

Got mine from HID_Powerhouse here on the forums. Been working great so far and seem higher quality than most.

I just ordered this same kit from them wish i had known you had it for sale. This is supposed to be the best plug and play kit as far as i know, the Retro-Quik kit they sell changes out the halogen projectors for xenon projectors but i'm not comfortable opening up my headlights just yet.
