OBD2 Bluetooth Adapter

Which one do you guys use?

I wanna get TORQUE on my tablet so i can read error codes etc when they come up.

Saw [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Soliport-Bluetooth-OBDII-Diagnostic-Scanner/product-reviews/B004KL0I9I/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1"]this bluetooth adapter for $15 on amazon[/ame] and wanted to see if anyone is using it, and/or if there is another unit they'd recommend.

I already tried searching and read through a bunch of posts but couldn't find what i was looking for.

I'd love to know what you guys are using, as i want to get a low cost solution for clearing/diagnosing error codes.

Thanks in advance! :)

I got an 11 dollar one off Ebay.

It certainly does work, but the response is pretty slow and the refresh rate is like 2hz or so, which is kinda pathetic.

I've got an ebay one as well. I hear the non-knock offs are much better for refresh rate though so I'd recommend getting one of the real ones.

I got the kiwi BT one. It costs more but it works and the refresh seems quick.

Any of you guys using Android ? I've been thinking of getting the OBDII also

I have an ELM327 bluetooth OBD2 adapter. Works flawlessly.

ELM327 here, running Torque on Android. I've had it for a couple of years now and used it on several cars and Android devices without a problem. Picked it up on eBay for 25 bucks, but I see they sell for less than 10 bucks these days.

Do a search on eBay for elm327 super mini. it's the one in this pic. About the quarter if the size if the original elm. Does not hang below the dash when plugged in. 15 $ shipped on eBay

Elm327 hands down. Easy bluetooth connectivity to torque pn thunderbolt. Handy when u want live readings on your car. Cheap and does the job.

I used an ELM327 bluetooth adapter for a while (with Torque Pro on Android), then once, near a power plant, the FRS threw a CEL code indicating the network CPU lost contact with the display CPU and the car went into "limp home" mode. Probably a poor ground on the adapter unit let some radio frequencies into the car network. I don't drive with it always in anymore, just when I need it.
