Both chief engineers from Toyota and Subaru say it's not gonna happen and so does the president of STI, all on the record. Will probably get the same treatment as the Forester STI and Legacy STI (JDM-only, no huge power upgrades). That type of thunder is going to the next WRX STI and Supra successor.

Like its been said before, they would not spill the beans on an 'ill wait for it' model update.

Also those JDM F&L STIs are both boosted (though not to say STI=Turbo)

If they were going to release one, wouldn't they want to wait a few years anyways? If they do it now all those brand new BRZ/FR-S' are going to end up as used car inventory on lots everywhere.

If there ever will be one, they'll probably release it when people are starrting to run out of warranty time on their BRZ/FRS. So they'll trade in the old one and get a new :)

If they release a turbo too soon they're going to have a lot of pissed off current owners. That's not good for business.

They'll likely wait at least 3 years if they do come out with a high power version so that the average 20% down 3 year loan guys can sell their current cars and get into a turbo without taking a huge hit on their loans. At least, that'd be my guess.
