Sharp grease lines

Any body else getting really sharp grease lines on the top of the rear quarter panels? I wipe them off and they come back every few days. Really confused...

Grease lines? Got any pics of what you're talking about?

Perhaps water is draining in that spot leaving a film?

I'm getting these lines on the front bottom of the passenger and driver doors. Can anyone explain why?

Thats from the drain holes for the doors.

Just washed my car, but I'll take pics as soon as I see it happen again. It almost looks like a scratch or crease in the clear coat is causing dirt or grease to build up in a perfect line.

Rear quarter panels? Could be a rogue swipe from the dealer detail (or your own wash/wax) that was missed, causing a difference in surface quality or something, collecting dust; but grease? That's odd... I also want to see pics.

On second thought, if your car has been wet, it could be due to how the water is beading/flowing off the roofline or window when you're driving. Could something be dripping onto the paint where you frequently park?

I believe those are water marks too... Wash your car and it'll go away until the next time it rains.

gonna have to use clay for that... if you're talking about a vertical line behind the rear window on the rear quarter then you have to detail it out. i had the same lines.

Are you sure its not the adhesive from the protective coatings for shipping? Try some adhesive or "bug and tar" remover (make sure it's paint safe!!!!!!!) and lightly touch those spots. If it comes off and stays off, it was the adhesive left from the protective coatings.

Thats exactly what it is.. I tried to post yesterday but was told I didnt have priviledges to post here... Its adhesive. I noticed it at the dealership and said something to the sales person... They used what looked like denatured alcohol to remove it.
