Good call I just noticed that after reading your post.

I will have to pass on it as well. I'm not drilling into my interior.

Does it have a gap to run a cable for a phone charger?

Currently, no. But it seems like there is some serious interest in having that feature, so I will definitely be passing that idea along to the development team.

Very nice!

I'd like to see a hidden compartment for the stuff I need to hide :eyebulge:

Do it! Ive only had a drink in my FRS once since i got it in june but i charge my phone every day so having a cover and having access to phone charger would be sick!

how about we hinge it at the back so it can flip back and lock in place?

Would it interfere with rearward vision out of the cabin?

I love the look and I hate not having an arm rest, but yeah...flipping sideways doesn't work well logistically...since the door cup holders suck and all

+1

I'd only be interested, if I can pass a charging cable through it.

I guess you could have them use the door cup holder and then have a soft place for your elbows? Win Win!

Any particular reason some people don't like the idea of drilling into the console to install? The more feedback I can give, the better for all of us!

I never really liked this part of the car at all. I really enjoy the layout of my celica. Cup holders are placed outside of the arm rest and the arm rest has a nice, deep compartment.

I really think toyobaru needs to redesign this. Although this armrest looks nice, it can't be used while drinking a beverage and it looks absolutely awful while open.

I dont see it as necessary to drill/screw when 3M double stick, Neo magnets could be used and hold adequately (down pressure isn't the issue only lifting and flexing open the console).
