Have you been pulled over yet?
 

Would be interested to know how many of you have been pulled over in your 86? And do you think the police target you because you are in an 86?

I was pulled over for speeding tonight for the first time in 15 years. Quiet suburban street, 2 mins from home, 69 in 50 zone. 3 points bang. I'm a bit of a nanny driver, never hoon, proof is my fuel economy figure is sitting on 7.2 and I spend at least 2 hours on the road every day.

No dramas if I've done the wrong through, but given my driving style and long record of no offenses, wondering whether I'm going to attract extra scrutiny now. Guess I will.

Random breath test so far, but that was a convoy of cars being pulled over, not targeted at all.
Im expecting more police trouble once the exhaust is done.

Not at all and my car is modified already.

got pulled over by a cop a couple weeks back!

when i got pulled over, all three policemen came out to check out the car and one of them came over with the breathalyzer.. we had a good chat and he told he was getting a blue GT in a week's time hahaha..

he asked me how the power was and i was like.. "errrr.. not much torque... but its pretty quick?"

Yeah on the 1st week i got it back in june, one of the first on road... they didn't know what it was and green p kinda confused 1 group.. another just wanted to see it then a few more 86's were on the road so popo were cool with the 86.
Had one Hwy patrol in my area just staring at me today tho, but they just drove on.
Give it a few more months and the 86/brz will be on the sus list I reckon.

Twice, in as many weeks.

Marked car heading towards me on High Rd. Cop does a quick U-Turn follows me for 200m then turns on the lights. Says License check and Random Breath Test please.

Same thing happened last week, this time from an unmarked car.

zero times in two months and I'm a greenie :)

I saw a cop blatantly point the radar at my car like he was filming an 86 commercial. Didn't pull me over though. I've never seen a cop rotate around and follow a car that obviously.

i got pulled over the 2nd day when i got my 86. for a RBT. Copper told me to wind down my windows, i opend the door, he goes "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!" im like "new car...windows got tinted not long ago can't wind the windows down for 2 days" his like "ahh ok. count to 10....."

I was reaching for license, he didn't even ask. he poked his head in my car then backed off and went "alright off you go mate"

and i forgot to put my Greens on that day "PHEW!"

haven't as yet, i have never seen so many cops as i have over the last week or so, but most just stare at the car.

its not like they have to be inconspicuous about it:iono:

Its becoming a nuisance.

I've had the car for 3monthd done 9,500kms around Sydney and yet to be randomly pulled over. I did get a nod of a cop holding a radar gun the other week, think he was a fan lol but then again I don't have any p plates. Although I can sense the 86 becoming the next Silvia/200sx though.
