FR-S / BRZ / AE86 Track Event!

It was very nice meeting you all today at the Meet / Cruise!

I just wanted to throw this out there... I had mentioned of attending an ECR track day, but I saw that the next one was taking place on November 3rd (but I happen to be heading to Houston MSR that weekend), so I thought we could possibly join in on the BMW CCA event (thread posted already on that too).

One day (either Saturday or Sunday) runs $195, and both days run $295.

I'll be attending both days (and have submitted my payment already), but it's good to have the option of attending either day since some folks have tough schedules.

Here's the link to sign up: http://www.motorsportreg.com/

Just search for the Motorsport Ranch Cresson event which takes place on October 20-21, and click REGISTER to proceed with the sign-up.

Here's some of the same info from the other thread I posted:

Fall '12 Driver's Education Weekend
BMW CCA - Lone Star Chapter
Saturday Oct 20 - Sunday Oct 21, 2012
Motorsport Ranch, Cresson, TX
  • Open to all Makes / Models of cars and to all drivers
  • 2 day event (You also have the option to attend either one or both of the days)
  • $295 (Or $195 for any one day)
  • With instructor (Novice / Intermediate)
  • Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Advanced Plus levels (I think I would fall into Intermediate w/ Instructor)
LAST DAY TO REGISTER IS OCTOBER 16TH, BUT I WOULD NOT WAIT THAT LONG TO SIGN-UP SINCE THESE EVENTS AND SPOTS ARE KNOWN TO SELL OUT VERY FAST. :)

Please let me know on this thread if you're interested (to keep track of folks), and please proceed to create your account and register / pay ASAP (click link mentioned above).

Any questions, please let me know, and I'll try to help as best as I can. I'LL TRY TO PM AS MANY MEMBERS AS I RECALL... LET ME KNOW IF I HAPPEN TO FORGET ANYBODY...

Thank you.

I'm really hoping there will be enough spots for all that are interested IF we sign-up fast enough to secure our spots.

Here are the members I have PM'd thus far:

5hairpins ; ajay ; BAE ; NeedsmoreCowbell

Pdub86 ; lopro25 ; carbonBLUE ; mandm177

JDMwhiteboy ; feedbag ; demby123 ; SWAMechFRS ; uptown

Please let me know if I've forgotten anyone else that has an FR-S / BRZ / AE86... I'm sure I've forgotten some folks...

TIA. :)

Just got through sending an email to this event's registrar to make sure there are enough spots for all of us that may be interested.

Will update as soon as I hear back from him... Sorry, I should've done this beforehand...

I would love to but I am booked that weekend. I hope you guys will get to go.

No worries, I understand... At least you get to join me in less than two weeks at the other event. :D

Feel free to let us know if your weekend happens to open up on the 20/21 of October...

Good to know... You're more than welcome to come in any other car, if you'd like... I've done that before too. :)

UPDATE:

The registrar just emailed me back and notified me that the event has 10 Novice spots and 12 Intermediate spots OPEN & AVAILABLE as of right now... And I'm sure some Advanced level spots are available too.

He said that he expects the spots to fill up within the next 2 weeks, or sooner.

Please feel free to register and submit payment as soon as you know your status... :)

Interesting, I've never been to a track day before... I'll have to wait and see if I have the funds.

Good to hear!

It can definitely be a memorable & educational experience... I know it is for me with each event that I attend.

Hope you make it out... Just let us know... I put you down as a 'maybe' for the time being. :)

thank you kindly

For sure! Made a thread on that too, lol... Really hope you can join us. Please let me know if you have any other questions. :)

Here's the link, and feel free to reply: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13359

I'll bump that thread while I'm at it...

FYI, I believe we can qualify for a 10% discount if we get at least 5 members for the two-day event... Don't think the one-day would qualify for any discount.

This info is from my email(s) with the registrar for this event (He's an extremely friendly person, btw).

Texas BRZ 10-01-2012 08:57 PM

Spots running out... Anyone else interested in joining in? :)

Texas BRZ 10-06-2012 03:17 PM

60+ folks signed up and confirmed for event, thus far (including Instructors and Drivers).

They may still have spots available if anyone's still interested...
