Congratulations! You have to be top 10 for making it the most miles until CEL. Doesn't exactly give me confidence (1100 miles here - no CEL).

Wow. After 6k+ miles! Sorry that it happened. Did you have idle dip all this time too? Or did it just happen without idle dip issue?

on my phone and late for work, so I will make this brief.

I was 1 of the first to report the Idle dip issue.

the slip light went away.

I had the code read at Autozone.

P0011: cam bank 1 advanced timing.

they weren't allowed to reset the code, I don't have tools to take the battery terminal off, I will do it after work.

Sorry to hear this has happened, not good news for all of us. I hope they find a permanent fix for this soon.

Opie 09-14-2012 07:58 PM

Why would you clear the code and not have the issue diagnosed?

prob the turbo

Mine's at 3k just barely, no dip though. Now I'm getting scared as mine's going in the garage shortly for winter, won't be out till spring again. Hope I get the issue before I store it...

+1

My car might see 1k more miles before it gets put away for the winter. I would like to think Toyota/Subaru would have the fix down to a science by next spring. :)

If they don't do a recall, then I feel sorry for anyone who gets 36001 miles before getting this error. I read here that some of the repair costs have almost gotten as high as $4000(warranted of course).

At least yours didn't burst into flames.

Mine does the idle dipping too... I hope the problem gets resolved soon so they can roll out the recall... It definitely is a recall at this point I would say...

Hopefully yours get fixed and never have to deal with this sh*t ever again.
