Color matching?

Can anyone tell me if the FR-S "firestorm red" is the same as the BRZ red?

I really like the BRZ rear wing and there is a local Subaru dealer, that can get me one painted for $400.00 I think that is a good price but only if the paint color are the same/matching.

thanks.

Color code for both is C7P. Yes.

yes, if the person trading doesn't like the wing.

just remember that you'll have non-matching VIN stickers if you swap trunks.

was going to mention that too but I thought we all knew that

still seems like it would be the better option, no labor to install other than unbolting and bolting back the trunk

and you know that the spoiler will be matched to the trunk for sure since it came with it.

of course there is the problem of finding someone that even has the LR BRZ, seems like a rare color...

yeah, that would be the most sensible choice.

however, i see 2 problems.

1) some people are anal about matching VIN stickers.
2) when it comes time to selling, potential buyers may question you about the non-matching VIN. they may think that your car was in an unreported accident.

just some things to keep in mind.

^^^ I thought about trading someone. The hard part is finding someone. The part about the serial number does not bother me too much, although it is a very good point.
