Is it the thread and reverse lockout same size as oem? Want to make sure it will work with the knob I just got.

Thanks for your interest!

would you guys consider doing a brushed black finish on a 200 series knob and reverse lockout of a short shifter? i will have a alcantara shift boot on order shortly and want to keep things relatively similar looking (i.e. i dont want a glossy black finish or silver finish at all.

Sorry, we currently don't offer that finish for our shift knobs.

I'm having alignment issues with a flossy knob and I have some teflon tape. How do I use this stuff? TIA

Easier to use the lock nut that came with the flossy. Don't you have that?

My flossy didn't come with a lock nut, what the hell...

cantaloupe 11-30-2012 07:14 PM

Nope nothing else came with my knob either.

It was my understanding that Flossy will match either AT or MT threads just email him when you order to confirm. Here's mine (loving the laser etching) -- It's for an AT -- car arrives Sunday, so I'll let you know if/how it fits.

Doesn't get any hotter than leather. In fact, it gets pretty cold sometimes.

I picked up the red reverse lockout right from BPS.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ps973d12ea.jpg

Now Im thinking of getting a black knob. The one I have is just over 1lb. Anyone have a suggestion on what I should go with that is around the same weight?

I got the Flossy Grip Tape Shorty, it came with the lock nut. Which one do you have? Looks like the Redhead Shorty? I wonder why it wouldn't have had the lock nut...

Oh, I really like that. Are the stripes on it orange or red? I'm tempted to get a knob for my hot lava, but I haven't found one I like yet, except this one.

iBRZ 11-30-2012 11:29 PM

@Nevermore it's like a burnt orange/red, would probably fit the lava nicely. It's just in-between both colors enough to work. The red kinda looks like it's a faded vintage knob. Almost like an old Datsun vibe.

I'll have more pics up as soon as I fit it.

It is the Redhead Shorty. I wish it had, the etching didn't line up so I had to put some rubber spacers in it to take up space...

That is absolutely perfect, The red lettering looks awesome:thumbsup:. I might steal that idea if you don't mind. Red is my favorite color and I was looking for that red one, but I think it might be to much. The black grip tape will match the color and almost the texture of my dash panel. I just need to figure out my custom idea.

guess I never posted mine up in this thread... went with Anvil 2 from Moddiction.

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...a236306bd4.jpg

heavier than stock knob, sits a little lower, feels great.
For those of you having alignment problems, I used some light duty threadlocker and adjusted it to the perfect amount of rotation/height.

What art work did you send in for that engraving? Think if I just sent in a picture of yours, they'd just send me an identical one?

I used the can on the left as a base, thinking it would match the cap and have a nice metallic finish....Nope. So I went over it with the flat black on the right.

Cade01 12-02-2012 09:44 PM

It didn't match the cap? It looked textured to me.

RazBRZ 12-02-2012 09:49 PM

The color on the cap didn't match, texture was a match.

I found a better pic of the red Flossy in a different tread, it shows the whole interior. I think I will get the red.

They already have that exact design at Flossy. Just ask them for it.

Lighter than the stock knob. Feels pretty smooth.

How did you get the logo square without it being loose?

I'm not sure how he did it but you could try some teflon or electrical tape on the threads, or put a small spacer at the top of the knob to stop it from threading all the way.
