is that a custom engraving? or just normal

I've been trying to call them for a few weeks now with some questions, no answer and i've left two messages...

Now I don't want to order from them just because of their shitty customer service :iono:

Go with WC Lathewerks.

I ordered from him, amazing personal customer service, and great attention to detail.

No, but they did say acrylic paint will work and hold fine, if you wanted to take the time and paint it.

The light makes it look blueish, but it is matte silver. Goes PERFECT with the silver trims on the car. Texture is amazing. WC Lathewerks, I am super impressed by the quality and craftsmanship, its perfect!

I looked around and found some but for the price I was finding it, I figured to just go ahead and make this custom one.

Thanks for the help!

I might do mine just so I can be the first in this thread and see how mad everyone gets. Though I do like the stock one a lot as well. I'm using this thread as inspiration though.

FINALLY found the best knob for my car. I tried OEM, Blox, Greddy ball-type (weighted) ... nothing felt great.

These new Cusco knobs are meant precisely for our car and if you know how to drive a manual transmission correctly and not like a hulking doofus .. these are IT.

Light, well made, precise.. accommodates the reverse lock-out.

Dang looking at you picture and mine is making me wonder which I like better. I like my burnt look a lot but the normal looks so perfect. I ended up buying 3 and 2 of them are still untouched.

That is a nice piece

Supermassive 11-17-2012 05:43 PM

I just gotta say the Team Voodoo knobs are top notch, sure they have no fancy engraving or what not, but they sit lower, have an amazing finish, and give amazing feedback from the tranny without being buzzy...plus the pearl finish has to be seen in person to really appreciate it.

Man, being extremely honest, I had NEVER been a fan of custom shift knobs, never ever. I started looking into it because of @ngabdala shift knob. I can tell you it feels great. It does add weight and the shifting feels very crisp and effortless.

His page is not working right now (I was in contact with him around Hurricane Sandy and he was hit pretty bad so probably associated with power outage).

I got the Stainless Steel Sphere with Bead Blasting (gives it Satin Finish) and added shift pattern engraving. He added the letters at no extra cost. Total was $135. AWESOME customer service. I had chosen certain font that I provided to him to install. Well, he could not install it and he called me on my phone to ask if it was ok to use another font EXTREMELY similar.

ANY other vendor could have just used the other font and call it a day (it was that close). But he went out of his way to please a customer. He is at the top of the list on my book!

Edit: http://lathewerks.com/shop/product_i...roducts_id=261

That's the one I got.

Not bad if I do say! I love how clean the shift knob looks, like it's made for the interior since it matches so well! I'll send him an email soon and see what we can work up. Thanks!

Latheworks Sphere - Stainless with Gunmetal Finish. Color is even and dark.
Looks like jewelry that's about all you can compare it too. Very heavy.

Anyone know a place doing custom reverse lockout rings to replace the plastic piece?

May as well just save some pennies and get a new shifter.
