The lift for reverse one doesn't have a thread.
You put in on and there a small screw drowned in the knob that push against the stick and stop everything. Works fine.

It is the shorty, still very weighty. Dampens the vibrations from the transmission greatly. Shifts feel like they have purpose.

Just received my STi optional titanium shift knob back from WC Lathe after he gave it the burnt treatment. Looks awesome! Sorry but the picture quality is bad. Lighting and discolored since it's my camera phone..

I also got it with a brass insert. Makes it a tad bit heavier.

Had this for about 15 or 16 years...been on several vehicles...epoxied an aluminum ring on the bottom to cover the white part of the reverse lockout...

Its a WC Lathe Werks SS Piston knob. I love it, and its nice and heavy, just over a pound.

Mine was supposed to be delivered today but the hurricane is changing those plans since the Gov't is closed in the D.C. metro area today. Whatever happened to the old saying "through sleet, rain and snow"???

jarviz 10-29-2012 05:56 PM

can anybody compare how the Flossy shift knobs feel in comparison to the TRD knobs? Not just the weight and feel, but how it actually feels when shifting gears?

White64Goat 10-29-2012 06:09 PM

Wonders never cease..........the mailperson did work today and I got my knob. Once the rain and wind die down, I'll install it.

Liquidsnake 10-29-2012 06:11 PM

I am surprised no ones has changed their Auto knob.

FRSPirate 10-29-2012 07:30 PM

Designed my own and had Chis at WC Lathe Werks make it a reality:

Nope! ;)

I had items come from three different sellers, but I only wanted to take one pic

Ordered the STi badge from a US seller on ebay, as you can see from the pic, it's small! But quality looks great, it's metal, engraved and painted w/3M, bought it for my front STi lip or rear Gurney.

I have a feelin' that if it came with the TI shifter knob, it may not have made it too me :D

btw the shifter knob looks and feels amazing! Very nice weight and exactly what I was looking for

Looks good, matches the silver in the car well. Are you going to put one of the STi bands around the bottom?

I dunno, looks pretty good the way it is, may just leave it

Was pleasantly susprised at the stock BRZ shifter knob. It has a very nice weight and quality is excellent!

I noticed this when I removed it ;)
