Anybody think that the translucent coated Slammer knobs might not get quite so hot as the bare steel ones? Might be a pretty good deal if so. Not sure if the coating would have much of an insulating quality though.

I don't know the answer to this but I'm looking into doing some simple testing with our heat gun. I just need a hot day here to do a side by side heat comparison.

Think you could set up a little photoshoot while you're at it? It might be cool to see all your offerings lined up next to each other with a stock knob. That would make it easier to see the relative differences in size and shape, especially with all the new shift knobs you guys released recently. Might even sway a few buyers who are on the fence!

Totally agree and I'm working on in car photography now!

The WC Lathe Werks I originally had made for my '08 STI is now in it's new home. Love the weight, but it gets hot as hell in the summer.

So? Impressions on the size? I'm really considering one of the new Raceseng knobs... the question is, which one?!

TjAlmeida 07-17-2014 08:17 PM

Kinda want one of these.

buuut i do not miss grabbing a burning hot shift knob when its sunny, and a freezing shift knob when its sub zero.
