Haha, in my old Outback, back in college, I got my hands on four PA speakers (three of them 6" in diameter, and one of them a wide 12" unit). Combined they were loud enough to be used in a small stadium. I hid them all under the car, hooked up to a dedicated AMP, which had two inputs: a microphone, and a 3.5mm jack. The microphone I used in similar vein as you, to do stuff like announce, "STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE," in a very loud manner.
However, my favorite trick was to plug in my Palm Pilot, which allowed me to play all manner of sound effects. Very, VERY loud sound effects. The best one was a 2 minute long engine startup of a turbine engine, and it was absolutely hilarious to play that sound, and then start the actual engine when it was so loud nobody could hear it, and then slowly drive away while everyone was staring wondering what the hell kind of engine swap I'd fit under the hood. |
