I have the same shift knob. I used a lockout level adapter. Did the trick. |

The plastic A/T shifter is a travesty so I switched it out pretty quick smart. Love resting my palm on it as I drive with my fingers resting on the lower aluminum part. Top quality OEM in every sense. Top part is catching the light and is actually silver.

How hot does an aluminum knob get in these cars during the summer? The one on my 335i would get so heatsoaked from both residual heat in the tranny and the sun baking it that it'd be painful to touch upon getting in the car.
