Where does this thing go? Can it work in conjunction with the Perrin bushing?

So it looks to me like the whiteline bushing, the perrin bushing, and the cusco collar are all compatible. Is that right?

Dont think the cusco collar and whitelines bushing is compatible!

The cusco collar just looks like a metal washer... I think I like the whiteline better. Seems like it would be better to have a little give there for longevity and less vibration.

Any opinions on these? I am wanting to make my shifter feel a bit more precise....

I don't understand why these are called a "positive shift kit". Both the Whiteline and Cusco items look,to me, as though they preload the existing gearbox mount. I appreciate this gives the gearbox less movement but I don't understand the positive shift part. Any explanation out there?

I agree there was a bit less movement with the upgraded bushing.

Anyone have any input on the cusco solid mount vs the whiteline bushing? I am thinking the cusco may put a bit more (too much?) stress on the mounting points/bolts..

is gearbox movement an issue or is this just a cool mod?

It's not really an issue but this will help stiffen things up a bit for those who track the car.

not an issue, but once you replace all the bushings related to shifting, you'll enjoy a more positive, crisp shift feeling...

Just trying to figure out if the cusco until takes it too far andor has any negative effects.

I especially think this is important for all those considering a high horse power build. FI in particular.

that cusco unit looks like it does zero. it's not even putting any support on the lateral bushings, it looks like it's just a hard spacer for a front to back feeling. worthless imo.

anything kartboy/whiteline makes for this car is going to be a positive experience. those are the only two brands i would consider for bushings. and perrin.

We're installing both, so I'll let everyone know.

Also, the Perrin bushing rocks. Much crisper shifting, installed 5 so far!

Curious about impressions with this and Perrin bushing installed. Seems like a cheap enough way to have crisper and more direct shifting feel, but would like to hear some real world opinions first.

I am more interested in the Traction kit, granted i have an auto so don't think this one would do much for me. I think the Traction kit would be a definite on anything FI to help get the power down.

Perrin has a replacement part, while Whitelimr and Cusco seem to stiffen the stock part.

Also, Cusco is 3 pieces. The big washer, sleeve, and metal plate that holds the top piece.

I looked at the Perrin, the Whiteline and the Cusco

Cusco is just a washer..round for a square part, oddly
Perrin's bolt and solid aluminum T eliminates the factory weakness of the rubber insert
Whiteline is all about inserts, and thats what theirs is, keeps the rest o fit factory tho

I have not yet tried the Perrin as a result of having the whiteline already on my car but am about to order it to see if/how the two work together..
