CEL with Visconti tune
Driving My car today and out of nowhere the CEL light and traction control light came on. One big problem with getting it fixed is that I was one of the first people with the tune as I was testing out the mileage for John. Therefore I don't have a cable and am no stuck with a car that threw its code and that I can't bring to the dealer. Now I'm not blaming John. The tune was and is great but what the hell do I do now. I can't flash it back to stock and if it's as big of a problem as everyone else who had this problem am I even going to have coverage on this. Really need John to pm on here. I called him but I understand how busy he is and how hard he is to reach. So if anyone else has this problem with the flash and found a solution please let me know as well as of John could you please get in touch with me.

I thought the Visconti tune was supposed to effectively act as a band-aid to the idle issue by raising idle speed by a couple of hundred RPMs. Guess not?

what codes?
|
Going to check the codes soon. Got in touch with John though and I should be able to borrow a cable from a shop around me. The car really doesn't feel any different though and no specific action caused it. Just freaking out because I can't be without a car for that long

They'll give you a loaner. I got a Yaris. Whooooo! :D
|
just curious - how many miles have you driven in total?
|
I'm under 21 I can't drive a loaner! An 2700 today

Just found the code I threw. P1449. Quick google search said its a evaporative check solenoid engine malfunction
|
clear it
let it cool restart and see if it returns |
Cleared it and nothin came back up. Gotta drive it some miles though to see
|
Drove it a bit and have awful bog/throttle response. Still no CEL light coming back on but definantly can't continue driving like this.

No didn't disconnect the battery. And that would explain a check engine light but not the traction control light. Gotta put some miles in order to get the CEL back because i can't drive the car like this. Had to ride the clutch at like 3k rpms before just to get up a little hill at a lifht
