Anyone else notice paint ripples in their passenger side door?

Just curious.

Driver side door does not have them and I have noticed and pointed this out to other owners here in Memphis. So far all of the cars have them.

I thought I had dents in my door but when I felt of the door there was none. When I looked at it from the same angle again sure enough there were 3 ripples in the paint that looked like dents.

I guess another knock on Subaru paint...

I dont like the fact that it looks like I have already had my door repainted by someone who does not know what they are doing.

Do you have pictures? I don't think I have any on mine as far as I can tell.

yes but nothing a good wax won't help

A picture would help. I check for any dents/scratches at least once a week, but I don't see anything like that. I see some hairline scratches going from front to back on the hood and side to side on the roof, which I think was caused by a machine wash by the dealer before I picked up the car.

Look at your cars passenger door from the back of the car at an angle. Slowly move in towards the car. You might not see it if you have a white car. Much more noticeable on a darker color car.

No ripples in mine, What color(s) have you seen it in?

Black WRB and Asphalt.

I showed these to the PDI manager at Beaver Toyota and He walked me over to a new tundra and stated " all the Toyotas come this way"
I clayed the car out a few weeks back and it looks better but in my head I know the nozzle that sprayed my car is dirty or damaged. Still there if you eye ball it, or when it's dirty you can tell.

You can actually get up close to the paint to and look down the side and you can see it too. Note that they are not big ripples but look more like small ping ripples about midline on the door.

Yea especially when there is dust on the car. Still annoying as each time I walk by it I feel like something hit it :p

Am I the only one who feels that this shouldnt be a problem on a new car?

Hot Lava

Polish with orbital. Not saying it will fix that. Just saying waxing or claying isn't the solution for this particular instance.
