Low-mid 80's Dodge Charger or possibly a Rampage too

Zaggeron 09-11-2012 09:31 PM

At first I thought that two, but by 1978 the charger looked like this:

So I thought it might be a gen 2 challenger. But the grille is wrong

Those were the good ol' days when passenger side mirrors were options...

Zaggeron 09-11-2012 09:32 PM

Ahh. The grill *is* a match for the rampage:

Looks like sho220 got it. A "Charger" in name only I guess as Wikipedia doesn't even list the 83' as a successor to the Charger.

Edit:

I guess wiki does list it. I missed it the first time I looked

Yea, I think it's an early 80s charger. I can see the sloped c-pillar through the window.
1982 charger

I think you got it with this one, like you said you can see the C-pillar on the driver side thru the window. Altho I kinda wish it were a rampage...now that would of been a fun project considering I've never even heard of one.

EDIT: I guess technically @sho220 figured it out first. Thanks guys.

Damn it is true what they say about the 1980's cars. Im glad that era is over.

I didn't want to make a new thread, but I was driving next to something on my way home from work today. I couldn't make out the emblems on the trunk. Any ideas???? The headlights were round.

Shagaliscious, instantly knew from seeing the picture that it's a Qvale Mangusta...

And like its predecessor, the De Tomaso Pantera, it's a Ford V8 powered Italian sportscar.

Friends dad has a Pantera and its a great fun car to drive. Sounds and feels like taming a beast but like all exotic euros of its age we can only drive it hard about 20 mins at a time before electrical issues occur and overheating like crazy

Good eye though I only know of the Mangusta from this connection

Cool, thanks man! I've seen my fair share of Panteras, but that is the first time i've seen one of those. I bet that thing moves with a V8 in it!

Predecessor was also a Mangusta, from DeTomaso. Sexy as hell.
