How do I know if I hurt my car??"
I was the first to test drive the FRS that I bought. It only had a few miles on it and I had it bouncing off the rev limiter on the test drive during one run thru the gears.!
I have put about 300 miles on it and have been very gentle however........a Civic Si wanted to drag at the light today and back to the rev limiter again! ugggg.....I got him off the line and he still beat me!! I felt like an ass with my new FRS getting schooled by a Civic..... Think I hurt anything or lessened the life?? |
You're an embarrassment to all maryland drivers.

That can't even be a serious question. All you managed to prove was that you're a fairy.

The rev limiter is there so you don't hurt your car. Learn to drive.

If I were you I wouldn't rev so high or put the engine under such heavy loads. Maybe 60% throttle at the most, modulating the throttle all the time while not going over 5K rpms is the best for the car IMHO, don't thrash it but don't baby the engine while breaking in. Also I would NEVER EVER race on the street, even worse that you did it while the car wasn't even broken in. |
