I came out of Best Buy to see this parked next to me.

Then I took a second look and things got weird.

Well, the back quarter panels are of a similar design. Wish you'd taken more photos, would be cool to see a full 360 comparison. Which Ferrari model was it?

The roof-line and trunk is what got me. Creepy!

Is that the california? Cuz it looks like a hardtop convertible.

And its not like the 2 door fastback coupe styling is a unique FRS quality.....

Of all the stupidly overpriced high powered only-the-rich-people-can-afford sports cars, I think the FRS/BRZ looks most similar to a Maserati Gran Turismo.

SkAsphalt 11-19-2012 05:00 PM

Yes it is a California.

There's a scooped eBay hood that makes the front scream Ferrari. Toyota has that habit. Remever the SW20 testerossa body kits? Lol

Oh god, how i wish i never lived through the 90s era of "tuning".

Where every aftermarket part no matter how big or small, expensive or inexpensive, had fitment issues.

Now you see why I've been saying all along that guys replacing their Scion badges with Toyota badges are totally missing the game. They should replace their Scion badges with the prancing horse.

Bare in mind the California WAS a Maserati in the first place, when Ferrari and Maserati seperated Ferrari took their new hardtop coupe and turned it into the California.

That's why Maserati then had to cannibalize the Granturismo and turn that into a convertible instead...

Photos below show the California before Ferrari took it :)

Sorry for the thread jack

finch1750 11-19-2012 07:54 PM

Damn. Stripped it looks even more like an frs.
