Got some new wheels for my DGM BRZ / "DATBRZ"

I'm still not satisfied. I will be once I get my duckbill spoiler, clear side markers, and coilovers. ;) The orange side markers kind of clash.

And a hint of hipstergram.

It's coming along. Slowly, but surely. :thanks:

Awesome wheels man! Gold always seems to look good on Subaru cars LOL

DookDookDGM 09-10-2012 11:52 PM

They're Konig Deceptions. 18x8 +40mm.

Looks clean! Now all you need is a nice drop. You should try and smoke the side markers ?

I agree with the orange clashing with the gold rims, i noticed the same thing on mine.

Where'd you get em in gold / bronze?

My honda buddy from Team NSU is close friends with a local powdercoater. It was $180 to get all 4 done. :D

Does the car feel as balanced as with the stock wheel and tires?

It's something I'm afraid of going with tires and wheels of a different size.

DookDookDGM 09-11-2012 11:21 AM

The car feels more agile and tracks way better. One thing I like about the BRZ is that it is less tail happy than its twin sister, better tires make it stick to the road even better. I lost about 40lbs of rotational mass by switching to lighter wheels, so acceleration feels a bit more peppy.

These wheels will be for sale come winter; keep an eye out. Right now I'm rocking Falken ZE-912s/512s on them. Couldn't be happier. :)

Good gravy watch out for curbs with those! Those tires look like rubber bands! lol

I want that vanity plate! IN is pretty far from MA, you wouldn't mind me doing the same would you? Actually forget it! I'll get "DAT MR2" and something else for the BRZ ;)

They are 215/40/18s, so yeah, a little stretch. They'll look good after lowering.

No, I don't mind. And I watch out for curbs :D
