Lemon laws or equivalent ways to resolve issues with Toyota in Canada?

Does anyone know if there are any lemon laws in Canada? Both Scion and the dealership are difficult to deal with on the CEL issue and I am looking for any other ways we can deal with this problem.

Thanks!

The law is a little bit different in Canada (as we have a less litigious society). There's the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan, this allows the arbiter and parties to sit down and lay out the situation then a decision is reached.
In the case of the BRZ/FRS the fact is you're not going to get much action at least for the time being. It's a brand new first model year car with a factory defect that is being held up by a parts backorder situation. If they diagnosed the problem, put you in a loaner or rental car, and ordered the parts/made subaru/toyota aware of the situation then really they've done their part in the eyes of the law.

Now if they've done none of those things, or for instance they've replaced the parts and the problem has returned THEN you can escalate the situation for sure.

I would say if the car is not safe to drive, may leave you stranded in an unsafe area or breakdown in highway traffic, I would ask for a loaner or they ( the manufacturer ) may be liable if something happens to you driving an unsafe vehicle
