2jz or ls1.

I like LS1 idea if it fits. That has been going into lots of cars as swaps and makes alot of easy, simple NA power.

Chevy small-block swaps have been done, and they are a little unimaginative. The more unique the engine swap, the better I think it is.

LS motors make a lot of N/A power because of their sheer size, but their power per liter is a tad unimpressive in my own opinion.

I agree, not very imaginative, lots of people doing it in lots of different cars now... But it's simple, easy, reliable power. I imagine this chassis with 350-400 NA hp and I think it would be pretty awesome.

True story...

Mugen MF408S -- 4.0l naturally aspirated V8 putting out 590 hp at 9,500 rpm and 383 ft/lbs of torque at 7,500 rpm. Oh, and the entire engine only weighs 289 lbs.

Here are a few more engines to add to the list.

1. Audi 4.2l V8 (32v) found in the Q7, A6, A8, S5, B7, and R8 -- 414hp at 7,800 rpm and 317 ft/lbs of torque at 5,500 rpm.
2. Audi 2.5l R5 (20v) found in the RS3 and TT RS -- 402hp at 5,400-6,500 rpm and 354 ft/lbs of torque at 1,600-5,300 rpm.
3. Suzuki 3.6l V6 (N36A) found in Nobuhiro 'Monster' Tajima's Suzuki XL7 "Pikes Peak" Special -- 1,007hp at 8,500 rpm and 752 ft/lbs of torque at 6,250 rpm.

Lee and the guys at Motus are cooking up some seriously badass stuff down there in Birmingham. They're good people.

I've been talking with Lee on and off for the past few months about KMV4 crate engine details, and, to tell you the truth, I cannot wait for it to be released as a crate engine. I have a 1974 Ford Mustang that is yearning for a new powerplant to replace the sad and lackluster 2.3l.

That combination would be virtually unbeatable, and I do think Toyota should release a special edition version of the GT86 with the 2UR-GSE powerplant.
