Trunk Organizer

Just curious if anyone is using a trunk organizer or anything to keep things organized?

My wife's VW has a nice system with the blocks that velcro to the mat and keep things from sliding. I'm thinking of adding something, mainly to keep groceries or my gym gear from flying from one side to the other while I'm driving.

It would have been nice if subaru would have installed some hooks to hang bags from, which our last VW had.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, I think she has gorilla gear. A friend of mine has that in his GTI and it's amazing. We use it all the time and it's quite strong and holds things in place very well

My GTI brought them from factory. It has a catchy name. Cargo-something But I completely forgot to take them when they junked the car.

QFry, very nice trunk organizer - i wouldn't mind getting one myself lol... does it fold up/compact to a smaller size as i am thinking of buying this and getting shipped down under if it is small enough to package and send.

I have a Plastic container for some basic tools and the owners manual (to free-up space in the glove box). I will say, one of the major shortcomings of the car is no factory tie-down points and cargo nets option. My adding the Lloyds trunk mat has helped a lot because the rubber is far stickier than the factory cloth, but things still slide around. Last time we went grocery shopping and had the rear seat down for space, we had plums end up in the front passenger floor because they rolled up to and then under the passenger seat. It would be great to put stuff like that into fixed nets like I had for my Outback XT and have in my wife's Forester XT.

That's very nice. I think that'll do the job. Thanks

I agree that the twins need some kindd of tie down or netting....no pun intended. I was surprised that there was nothing. I really miss the bag hooks in the back of our VW too. Those would be perfect in this car.

i've heard some people state that the spare tyre ring is good for holding things in place for. spewin' that the AUS delivered 86's loose this functionality along with the spare wheel. /end rant.
suprised to hear that there aren't any factory hooks in the trunk area...

And I'm going to consider that too. Need to go look and see what's available.
