Alcantara Fabric Cleaner

Hey guys not too good at doing these write ups but i was so impressed with these products i just wanted to share a pic. I came across these two products pictured below after doing lots of research. The FR-S is my daily driver and my drivers seat was starting to get dirty and somewhat smelly. I'm usually all sweaty and dirty when i get off work keeping the city's lights on with the power company. The foam cleaner left my seat clean and very soft. I was impressed. There is no chemical smell to the products or color fastness. Once dry the seats were very soft and clean. Apply the foam to a sponge and work gently into the seats then once dry follow up with the protector. From my understanding and talking to detailers and on detailing forums anything found at the local auto parts store, wally world would damage our fabric so be careful. These two products are the way to go. They're safe and do a good job!

Great investment and worth looking into. Got mine at Detailers Domian!

Sorry for any confusion. I'm saying yes you should use both these products to clean the fabric in our vehicles. They work awesome together and really do a great job at it.

Anything off the shelf say at the auto parts store etc would be bad. Those contain chemicals that would damage the fabric. I've asked numerous auto detailers and on detailing forums most found out the hard way and ruined customers cars.

Nice, I've been thinking about getting this for alcantara protection. Does it repel water and oil?

I just applied it today but yes on the Nubuck Protector it says it protects against Water, oils, and alcohol based stains. Its very liquidy with a pleasant smell. I transfered it over to a fine mist sprayer to not waste too much product.

Thanks for your thoughts, I too find it to be the best combo a consumer can purchase. Did you happen to buy these products based off the recommendation I left on the other post? I only ask because it's good to know you actually help people on all the forums most pro's try and contribute on :)

Yes sir, i liked your post and i had this combo in mind. I had been researching it and after seeing it in action from a local detailer and talking to detailers on other forums i went ahead and got it. It works great! My local Scion dealership told me any common fabric cleaner would work or a rag damp with water...wow i'm sure glad i didn't listen.

If you have an FR-S, how do you have Alcantara?

Thats what i was told the fabric is. Its not cloth, its not conventional materials i've had in past cars. its some hybrid suede and i'm not sure what else it consists of. Mine got dirty and before taking off the shelf stuff to it i asked some local detailers and inquired on line with some other pros. Thats what i was told it was called. The stuff i used got them clean.

It's definitely not Alcantara, it's a micro-fiber of some sort. I used to have a very similar seating material in my MR2, similar colors, too:

Alcantara is a bit different; I had it in my S4 and the feeling was much different than the FR-S's fabric. Either way, that product should be good for the Alcantara as well as the FR-S fabric seats.

I went straight to the source, both on the phone and on customer chat both sources said the same. The FR-S has "Alcantara seats" The BRZ i guess has a Leather/Alcantara option but the gentleman on the phone said that scion did not name thiers. Subaru chose to call the seats by the Materials actual name which is Alcantara. I'll ask around some more. But the stuff i bought Alcantara or not did a great job.

One side not both stressed not to use off the shelf chemicals.
