Full Body Wrap!

So hey fellow forumers.. I have a Hot lava scion fr-s and I'm a little indecisive about what I should do to my car. I got the hot lava and I was a little edgy about the color but now i really like it. Thing is, I have a chance to wrap my car in full vinyl to make my car unique to all the other ones in my area (AB) calgary. Now I have two choices. I can either go with a flat white (matte) or put on stealth which makes my car just a flat hotlava.... anybody want to give me some support and help me decide?!?!!

You are already unique but should you really want to have your car be super unique, I would like to see a British Racing Green FR-S. I will be your biggest fan.

flat white will be sick...with the hot lava engine bay.

Flat white is pretty common, I'd go with the Stealth wrap.

i have a question about wraps that i cant just wrap my mind around....

a full car wrap costs around 2k right?
cant you get a pretty nice paint job for that price?

besides the obvious that you can remove it to have stock paint back why wouldnt you just get a nice paint job?

Nope.

Hate to inform you but Calgary has a flat white already.

Seems to be popular.

This stealth wrap is it semi clear then?

The stealth wrap look interesting. Found a video on Youtube showing the guys at Xpel (?) doing a Challenger. They had pre-cut pieces -- much like a car-sized clear bra. I'm guessing you can lay this stuff down like regular vinyl instead of having to wait for a company to sell pre-cut pieces?

I'm waiting on my Burnt Orange & Gloss Black vinyl to arrive. May get around to tackling the wrap this next weekend.

Good luck with the car. It'll probably look great!

For free? You have a brand new car; why not enjoy having nice shiny paint while it lasts? Eventually it's gonna look crappy and then you can vinyl wrap it. Hot Lava is sexy, flaunt it! I can think of better ways to spend money on a car, jussayin'

At least it is not going to be flat black. It seems like everyone here in LA loves flat black everything. lol Do flat white for sure. Don't forget to show us the outcome

Stealth Xpel is sexy. Where are you getting it done in Calgary?

I work at a auto detailing shop that does wraps... If you have heard it's Calgary Auto Spa. They hooked me up really good for my other wraps so i trust them

It's just in the long run the wrap would actually protect the paint for longer since the paint would have less direct sun on it and it would stay shinny under the wrap so when i do decide to take it off the paint won't be faded..
