Shagaliscious 09-08-2012 09:13 AM

Looks like something my girl would enjoy...

ft86Fan 09-08-2012 10:29 AM

Yeah, sorry. No love from here either.

kendalldwhite 09-08-2012 12:13 PM

:(

sbxjap 09-08-2012 12:42 PM

hmm... I like the individuality and all... but it's really tall... couldn't reach the reverse well. And it doesn't look very heavy...

GenkiElite 09-08-2012 07:39 PM

Take that thing off and put it back on your grandmothers chandelier where you found it.

Travis 09-08-2012 08:02 PM

Ive never understood why people do that. Lose almost all functionality and make it look terrible

I don't feel like it loses functionality. Some people like the monkey grip better than the over the top grip. I've seen people shift with the wine glass grip before too! Which was strange.

TouchMyHonda 09-08-2012 08:57 PM

This is a classic drifter style shift knob, most of you will be unfamiliar with that. It will prolly function better as you do waht your had to be level with the steering wheel.... at least when competitive racing / track driving.

Let the ricing begin...

Wow, awesome Street Fighter reference. And the OP is someone named JWong. LOLZ!

WolfsFang 09-09-2012 01:48 AM

that must increase the shift throw by alittle.

Silverdub 09-09-2012 09:16 AM

Lasse 09-09-2012 12:38 PM

I understand the concept of slap shifting having it at the same height as the steering wheel so you just slap it from gear to gear without having to move your whole arm down to it. I have used them on inline shifters and they are twice as fast as the stock little ones... however that is a little pretty for my taste I like an old school stainless hurst high leverage shift knob.

Nevermore 11-17-2012 10:18 AM

Wow, lotsa negativity here. I like the uniqueness of it. Actually, after seeing it in the shift knob thread I went looking at them. This one is shorter, and I thought might work in my hot lava, but I don't know.

I can only say good things about WC Lathe works. I got the poly teardrop with thumb notch. I dont need the shift pattern drawn out, its all about the driving experience. Hate grabbing a shifter thats too hot to touch, so I caution you all about metal knobs, having owned one before.

Hippophobia 11-17-2012 10:42 AM

I saw a dude with a Kona Longboard tap handle for his shift knob. That was pretty badass. Haha.

zenki_levin 11-17-2012 03:12 PM

Nice shifter. I want this one, too bad they go for $70. That's a little bit too much, so i'll keep my weighted d1 knob.

I can tell from the responses that many people here never owned an S-chassi nissan. I like it, reminds me of my old s13.

also, you can not FADC this shift knob on wake up; but this knob definitely helps with tick throws.
