FYI coatings are much thicker then any wax, it's actually measurable in microns where waxes or sealants are not. But like you I love the look of a quality Nuba, although some of the coatings on certain paints are hard to beat looks wise.

I have tested Griots Garage Sealant against another Sealant (not opti coat or opti guard) and the Griots Sealant preformed very badly in every way. I just completed a Stage 4 detail with a very special Glass Molecule Sealant on a 2013 Black BRZ who is a member here in the Tacoma area just in time for the rain.

Very special glass molecule sealant sounds more like a coating? Can you say the company it's manufactured by?

yeah....its made by NanoSkin...I used the NanoSkin Shield as the LSP Sealant. It comes in a very large spray can or in a smaller can that you use in a spray gun...which I dont have. I have been totally impress by it since contaminates or anything else does not want to bond to it

Ok my dealer uses trident. Its about 650 and sounds almost identical to opti based on the descriptions listed here and the one they described to me. Their trident though comes with a lifetime warranty and is also applied to the interior to avoid stains, scratches, rips, burn holes, etc. And that also comes with a lifetime warranty. So if any of that happens its free to get repaired. Now my question is, is it worth 650$

I regularly always try to clean my car inside and out but on the other hand I do have a dog...small beagle but a dog none the less. Also has anyone ever heard of trident?

Stay away. The dealer is selling you a warranty, not real protection. Read the fine print if you must, but seriously walk away and get someone to Opti-Guard your car instead of buying snake oil.

Here is a prewash rinse of a Shelby GT500 that had Hard Body installed one month prior:
