Im going with HID_Powerhouse bc i got all my LEDs from them and they work great, plus the level of customer service i get on everything i ask is insanely detailed and thorough

Retrofit source to do it right. Though it is a bit more expensive

FRSPirate 09-06-2012 04:49 PM

Got mine from DDM Tuning. I hear some people have issues with them but i have installed them in 3 cars and one bike and haven't had one problem with them yet.

But yeah, if i had a little extra cash and time i would go retrofit

HIDEXTRA.COM has always done me right.

Just put in DDM Tuning 55W 6000Ks yesterday, they offer a new harness and fully digital ballasts, works like a charm and the cutoff is great with the stock projector, no need to adjust the squirrel finders at all. Plus they come with a lifetime warranty.

finch1750 09-06-2012 07:47 PM

just bend the squirl finders down if you just get a pnp kit so you don't blind everyone. And I have heard good things about ddm as well fwiw.

Gixxersixxerman 09-06-2012 09:47 PM

I started with ddm tuning... 6k... Just ordered my retrofit source quick kit projectors and angel eyes last night with some 5k bulbs, to see what I like better... I haven't heard of TRS, before a couple days ago.. But DDM is huge on my gixxer forum... But like my bike if I'm doing it it has to be right.. No decent looking retrofits for it so it runs 110$ PIAA lights high and low

whitefrs 09-06-2012 09:53 PM

ddm tuning

Got mine from the retrofitsourse.com the Morimoto H11 kit with the heavy duty relay, after about 3 weeks I'll install it tomorrow....

mengmotorsports have some that i was planning to get

Arrakis 09-08-2012 01:12 AM

I have purchased multiple kits from this vendor. They only carry genuine Philips products. You can find less expensive kits but you get what you paid for. http://www.hid-online.com/

+1 for retrofitsource

Great quality kit, very good light output.

35W works. do you have the right bulb size?

55W on a halogen projector would blind everybody in the road

35W does already, what more 55W?!?

86KEEBS 09-12-2012 12:48 AM

H11 6k bulbs.. everything fits and connects.. just no lights. I figured 35W would be good

so either the ballast or the bulbs are defective.

does the ballast buzzes once you turn them on?

GUYVER116 09-13-2012 02:55 AM

A $15 dollar HID harness might do the trick for you, I have a High/Low DDM tuning setup. The DRL/Hi-beam requires a HID harness sold separately tp power it or else your DRL will just flicker and turn off or not turn on at all.

I am planning on buying the HID kit 35w from DDM Tuning. Can anyone tell me what I would need to purchase exactly for the headlights? Any harnesses anything additional that DDM offers?
