Hi all! new member here.
Like all of you, I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of the car :bonk: 2 months ago I placed an order on a white GT at a certain Toyota dealer in Sydney. Was advised by the sales rep that the car is scheduled for Oct build, Nov delivery. Got the log in details for the web tracking and I thought all was sweet. Just had to play the waiting game like everyone else here. Since then, twice, I was told that the build date was pushed back. The latest being March next year. I thought this was normal. BUT after 2 months, my deposit was still not debited and apart from signing the Offer sheet, I had still not seen (or signed) the contract. Long story short, I spat the dummy yesterday, started ringing around various dealerships just to try my luck with any unallocated stock. (long shot I know) Got a nice surprise when one of em rang back and said there was a GT manual in Fuji Red (my second colour choice), getting built in Sep with a late Oct delivery – Unallocated!! He even sent me a screen shot of the inventory allocation interface to prove it! Signed the contract and Paid the deposit yesterday (which got debited immediately). Happy Days! :D |
Half your luck! Congrats. Been waiting since march.... I might start doing the same.

Did you get the red one from Rockdale Toyota by Anychance? And was it Jacob you spoke to?
