I am currently thinking that I am going to have to wait until December or January to buy a new bumper. For the mean time, I am just going to have to drive around with a bumper of shame. lol

The Varis kit looks dope too. (:

It's illegal for a reason, what happens if you're actively jamming and someone in you area needs to make an emergency call. I hate distract drivers as much as the next guy, but that's not a reasonable solution.

Well the small jammers only affect a radius of like 30' so it's unlikely that someone needing to dial in an emergency would be affected.

30' around me that's just a car or two in any direction around me.

Don't know how it is where you guys are but in Toronto more than 50% of people I see driving are on their phones.

That bumper looks like it just needs to be repainted. The whole bumper will need to be repainted due to the pearl white, otherwise it will not match.

So the only difference between fixing the stock one and replacing with an aftermarket one is the cost of the bumper and the minimal cost to install it.

The bonus of getting a new bumper is you could possibly sell your old stock one to a BRZ who wants to do the FRS swap. This would offset the cost of some of the repair.

I'll have to read more about the portable ones, I am use to the big boys with more power.

Yes they are always on them, or texting

After a raccoon incident, I had a NEW bumper cover painted and installed on my BRZ. I think it ran about $750 total, although I did go through insurance. There was a bit of a delay because the parts are so new, but it didn't take thaaaaat long. I think going this route would certainly save money over the aftermarket bumper options. The new (Subaru) bumper itself was quoted at a bit over $300. If there's no damage to your bumper itself, and you only need a repaint, I'd think it should be considerably cheaper than $750. My paint/labor was quoted around $400.

You can't really tell from a distance but from close it looks noticable. My car is whiteout fr-s. Any advice? I learned my leason to NEVER, NEVER EVER USE MY PHONE AND DRIVE! I took picutres but it is bad quality. I'll post up better ones when I get on my computer. Is it cheaper to get a new one or fix the same one.:(:brokenheart:

luckily I learned this on my corolla when I was trying to get my GPS on my phone to get out of stopped traffic. I hit a nissan versa at 5mph and his bumper just crumpled. My car barely had a scratch.

Sometimes I really like cell phones, and change it often.Last year i got a LG Chocolate one, but at my angry moment i throw it away, so it died! And this year i bought this kind of cell phone with cheap price, but i am afraid of his fate then. I hate the noises of irrelevant calls, you know sometimes i just want to be alone, that is enough, anyone knows how can i do? I have got a cell phone jammer, but I heve no idea of it, ask some profession for help!

These cell phone jammers are available at a very reasonable price. You can buy this cell phone jammer very easily. As this service takes nominal charges on the network, so you would need to spend a little amount to get complete peace of mind when you are not willing to get disturbed.

This just IMO. i would get a brand new unpainted BRZ bumper for around 249 + 350 for paint job. Now all of a sudden you've got yourself a BRZ. For some reason, ive gotten tired of the TRD lip as a GT86 looks.

Yeah, you'd think the paint would flex a little bit or something, but no.
