Silly question about the dash...

The top of the dashboard in the FR-S is sort of... well, rubbery.

Coming from two VWs, I've never felt this type of material, and as stupid as it sounds, I don't know what I should use to keep it clean.

I've never had luck with ArmorAll, and was just going to try and keep it dust free as best I can, but what can I use on it to wipe it clean. Feels tacky to the point that I wouldn't even be able to wipe it down :/

Can I use 303 all over the interior? (minus the cloth seats) I was considering buying wipes from Meguairs but 303 seems to be getting very positive reviews.

303 is good as well as Mothers VLR: http://www.mothers.com/02_products/06524.html

Oh gahhd, stay the f*** away from Armorall. What is this 303 I hear so much about? Does it leave a natural finish, and is it non-silicone-based?

I swear by this, products are AMAZING.

First this to clean:

Even Armor-All is water-based now days.... the formula was changed 10-15 years ago. It is now just as safe as any protectant on the market (though I don't personally use it because I am not fond of the looks of it).

If you don't want ANY change to the appearance of your interior plastics, you'll want to use something like Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer, 1Z Cockpit Premium, or Garry Dean's Infinite Use Detail Juice.

Oh no kidding! I did not know this. My stepfather warned me against using the stuff but he was an old-school hot-rodder, so he probably knew people who used it back when it was silicone-based. Either way, I don't like how greasy it makes everything look and feel. Thanks for the education!

I use a California Dash Duster. Works great for daily touch up dusting and is quick.

I do the same. Works great on the fuzzies and dust all over the hard interior.

Armor all cleaner (not protectant).
