That's a tough call. I think everyone I dated knew how to drive mt.
I guess if my husband didn't know how I would teach him on some rental cuz I like my clutch thank you. I learned in one day and my mom let me drive alone by day 3.
I think every one should learn. That way if you are ever in a position to have to drive someone else's car there is no excuse to be stranded.
Also keeps idiot friends from driving your awesome cars cuz they don't know how.

So you're saying everyone should learn, ...except idiot friends? ;)

If it cost that much here in the USA, almost no one would be able (or willing!) to afford it. Is it affordable for a person with an average Norwegian income? ...or is it only for wealthy sugar daddies (mumble mumble stay on topic...)

Affordable? It will be a bit too expensive for the average guy under 25 years of age I would say. Im thinking most buyers will be 28++ and have a decent paid job.
You definitely don't have to be a sugar daddy to afford it. But it is not cheap.
A typical new car in Norway is about 250k (say VW Golf Bluemotion). A really really cheap new car would be 150k. The 86 is 460k.
More info about EU car prices. here.
More info about car taxes and HP here.
(also better threads to talk about prices and stuff if you should be interested)

My wife taught me how to drive a manual before we started dating.

Thanks for the info! Lol, no I really didn't mean to jack this thread. I was just curious since the converted US$ amount you mentioned is over 3 times the sticker price here.
