Few Shots from Southern Utah

This weekend was probably the first time in my life that I have done anything for Labor Day. We drove from Salt Lake City, down to St George Utah. From there we headed East through Zion's National Park and over to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon! A lot of driving, but a ton of fun. I had never been through Zion's and my wife had never been to the Grand Canyon, so we both got to see a lot of cool stuff.

Enjoy a few shots of the car!

St. George LDS Temple. The building was dedicated in 1878 (I think).

And for the sake of getting a little off the car shots, here is a pond (normally a stream) on one of the hikes:

Thanks. I would highly recommend going through Zion's. Very cool drive and a 1 mile long tunnel.

I am down to go to the Salt Flats, but we will have to go in the next few weeks before it starts getting stormy and nasty out there.

Who wants to go? (I am out of town next weekend) but any other September weekend works.

You misread that first post, or not at all and only saw the picture of his wife...

Great pics. The landscape out there is just simply amazing. It's a part of the country I think a lot of people in the US take for granted and forget is right in our own backyard.

Thanks. This one had the exposures wrong, so it really didn't turn out as planned. Still worth throwing up I guess.
