A Question for Those of You WITH the Visconti Tune
For those of you WITH the Visconti tune.
Did any of you have the Idle Dip/CEL problem before the tune? |
I had the idle dip, but no CEL prior to the tune. After the tune, NO idle dip and still no CEL.:thumbup:
and the man wonders why I pester him.
this is promising! |
nope. Had it like once or twice before tune but havent had one since. Only cel i got was from plugging in my bluetooth obd2 in wrong which has no relation to the tune.
Was getting very bad dips pre tune, no where near as bad now. I dont even notice them unless i look down and look at the rev counter, at least for me it goes no where near as low as it did before.
no sir
I had the idle dip, and rough idle during warm up, no CEL. Im now 300 miles into the tune and all issues are much better, if not resolved completely.

Ok i have the visconti tune but i have no idea what CEL is. Hate to be a newb but can someone please inform me?
I never had CEL or idle dip problems. Although I will say, the stock rom idles at 650, and @Visconti 's idles around 800-850. Kinda weird, but whatever.

Cel= check engine light
OHHH wow i feel stupid. Appreciate that but I strongly recommend the flash to everyone who wants just that extra bit of fun from a guy who is doing so much for our car
Would the tune some how mask the problem with a higher idle? In other words, could you still have the issue but just not realize it? Could that cause longer term issues?
I'm still not sure Toyota / Subaru have a handle on the problem. |
