Socal FR-S/BRZ Meet! COME JOIN! **9/19/12**
 

FIRST MEET WILL BE WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 19, 2012 @ 8PM

Looks like a lot of people are down to do this meet! So I'll get it started! I am creating a facebook page for our weekly meets. It'll be mostly FRS/BRZ cars but of course all other cars are more than welcome to join! :D As long as people don't do stupid shit to get us kicked out. If you start doing donuts and other idiotic things that can jeopardize/ban us from our meet you will be asked to leave.

HERE IS THE SCHEDULE & LOCATION (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

Our first meet will be on September 19th 2012 (Wednesday) @ 8pm.

Location: as of right now will be in the 85C/Albertsons/Guppy house in Hacienda Heights. The middle of the parking lot is pretty empty.

Reason why I choose that particular spot is because it's a spot that has a bunch of restaurants that are open late night. Guppys stay open till 1am on weekdays and 85c is next to it. Also, for those seeking healthy food there is a Flame Broiler there. If there is any issues with setting up our meet there peunte hills mall is across the street as well as other restaurants that are open late night. There is Half&Half, TGIF, Banana Bay, Phoenix Cafe and more.

Also, turnbull canyon is close buy that particular area! So if people are down to do a 10 minute canyon run there's one close by :burnrubber::thumbup: Let me know what you guys think! :thumbup:

I will be also be taking photographs of every person there with their car! So be sure to have it nice and clean!
A couple of my roommates Evo friends from his meet would be joining us as well! ^.^

Where? Never seen a Frs at a EVO meet in fullerton? I driven by there a few times. Anyways I am down for a meet just been saving up some money to add some mods to my car. I know there is a meet in torrance, cars and coffee, and I believe there is a meet Sept. 15 for a open house thing.

I just got my Fr-S about 3 weeks ago. I brought it to the sonics meet on Thursday only once so far.

Is there a link to the meet in torrance?

Take a Break (TAB) Tuesdays in West Covina are on every Tuesday night 9-11 PM. About 150 cars from all brands will show up on any given night. If you're thinking about a weekly FR-S/BRZ only meet, then within a few weeks, you will likely get bored of meeting the same 3-8 people that show up.

I know they have a meet in Irvine every Saturday morning. All types of cars

Check out Club4AG for hachi meets. There is AE86 nights in Alhambra on Saturdays. Can't remember if it is monthly, weekly, or whatever.

This will end bad if it's in the San Fernando valley. As for meeting the same people week in week out, you could always make a drive out of it.

wish this was a bit more down south. need a meet in San Diego sometime. id love to check out some BRZ's and other peoples FR-S's sometime.

Im busy but depend on the day, I work 12 hours night shift. After we meet we can drive up Gendora Mt Road, Baldy, Azusa?

i've only seen 1 brz in the wild, and that's earth scum's. we should definitely do a SD thing cause, no offense, but people in LA drive like idiots and there's traffic all the time.

You are right. Driving in downtown LA is a lot worse than driving in SD. But OC area is a lot better. Rich as folks. I wasn't planning on having a meet smack in the middle of downtown. You wouldn't have to worry about that. :thumbup:

I would be down to do a mini canyon run. I've taken interest in recording canyon runs which is why I ordered a blackvue dash cam. My friend and I are still working on the last video we captured on our mini run at Turnbull Canyon.

Once of these days I'll try and organize an event in SD!

Meeting people week to week isn't so bad. The Evo meet my roommate organize every Thursday is always fun and chill. Hasn't gotten boring.

I need to check that out then!

i am down for the SD meet. just go to racelegal at qualcomm stadium. I am there in my fr-s. i believe the next one is this friday the 7th.

Yeah, you weren't around for the old Northridge meets back in 2000-2004. There were literally hundreds of guys there. We had cars from every era as one of the local 40's/50's car meets merged with ours.

It was cool to see but having that many people just caused too much attention and it was shut down by the cops after 2 years of existence. It then began migrating but the cops got wise to us on the forums and just started following us around.

I think if we do a meet every other month that would be cool. It was fun when I got 12 of us owners in June to meet in fullerton and caravan to Irvine to hang out with Troy from Five Axis. I want to get a meet where is only the brz and Frs owners. Don't get me wrong I love the LA tour and the meet in torrance we did with moto but i wish it was more with the guys in the group here.:happy0180:

so we have a good amount of people that are DOWN! now lets talk about a meeting spot? Irvine Spectrum? Sonic near Fullerton (They have Evo10 meets there), tustin market place or Irvine market place....

I was thinking that whole empty parking lot where in-n-out and pink berry is at in the district. We can also do it in that empty corner where On the Boarder and that furnature store is at in the Tustin market place. That might be better cause that section is always empty. Or maybe some place in fullerton or any idea were we can do it near or by Irvine spectrum?
