SEMA 2012 Las Vegas is Fast Approaching.. What is Coming Our Way?

Hello fellow FT86Club member!

As most may know, my name is AJ, a rep at ECS Motorsports in Orlando, FL.

For years, automotive performance companies such as ourselves have drooled over what to expect at the annual SEMA convention.

For those who may not know.. here's a brief overview:

The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world (PLEASE NOTE: THE SEMA SHOW IS NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC). It draws the industry’s brightest minds and hottest products to one place, the Las Vegas Convention Center. As part of the AAIW, the SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries for unlimited profit opportunities in the automotive, truck and SUV, powersports, and RV markets. SEMA Show 2011 drew more than 60,000 domestic and international buyers...

This year, the convention will take place from October 30 - November 2, 2012 (of course)

While we will not be attending this year, sadly, we can still talk it up in this thread about what to expect, what you would like to see, and what we may not see

I personally know of some awesome new products coming to our new community, but I will leave that up for discussion!

New intakes? Exhausts? Forced induction? Carbon fiber hoods? While there are a few threads that are product specific, let's discuss and drool over the endless possibilities of SEMA 2012!

Regards,
AJ

The company that develops a cheap and easy solution for removing the torque dip in the FR-S/BRZ will be crowned the hero of SEMA 2012 by this community.

If that cheap and easy solution happens to net a healthy +10 WHP across the board; well, that company will automatically win all the moneys as well. The group buys will flow and everyone will be happy.

Will be traveling with Toyota to this... I go every year and I am so stoked that the car I actually drive will be featured prominently this year..I will be sure to keep everyone on here updated with pics and posts

I wish I could. Im jealous that my friend went last year. He won some contest with a company to be able to attend.

That already exists. Its called Ecutek. Get a hold of @Visconti and he can give you all of those things, maybe more. :)

From the vendors and companies that I talked to over the last several months:

Several new turbo setups, standalone engine management, a glut of new aero kits, vented and non-vented carbon fiber hoods, NEW TAILLIGHT (yay!) and headlight options, some interior trim bits, several new lines of wheels in offsets that will benefit the FRS/BRZ community to name a few...

Me and my brother(as well as 65 or so other Norwegians) will be attending.
Very much looking forward to this :)

I attend SEMA every year, this year will be no exception. Already have my flights booked! I am excited that I own a car that should be a big hit this year. Can't wait.

This year will be my third time

Indeed there is a lot of talk about the FR-S/BRZ this year at SEMA.

Heard some exciting things about these cars down the grape vine! FI as mentioned by a member here, is def on the list ;)

Rah Rah! we'll probably be heading out there :D

Wish I could go to SEMA. Among all the new products and crazy show cars (tons of FR-Ses I'm sure), Factory Five is supposed to have a built production 818 at SEMA this year.

Hope to see some folks from the forums in Vegas. We will have one possible two of our APEX simulators at the AAPEX show and will be at SEMA on Friday according to the schedule I have in my grubby little hand at the moment. Can't wait! Always a great time.
