So, a little about me. Been into cars as long as i can remember. Spending weekends at westwood, watching my dad race his ke17 and r100, camping at the track. I've owned a few toyotas. I usually end up hanging on to my cars and just recently downsized to 2 cars . 90 celica gts, 2x 87 mr2, 1xAE85, and frs. I enjoy a bit of autocross a few times a summer, the only affordable and safe way to explore the limits of your car in the lower mainland unfortunately. I've followed the frs/brz/gt86 since its inception as the ft86. I've alway thought of it as car built with my preferences in mind. lightweight nimble, awesome steering, enough power to have fun, and fairly inexpensive. to me the only car that could previously do this is the MX5 but I loathe convertibles. So i preordered my frs in may, picked it up the 2nd week of june, the 1st whiteout delivered in vancouver to my knowledge. I plan on doing a mild street tune to the car, intake, cat-back exhaust, strut bars / coil overs / sway bars f +r . proper wheels and rubber. i'll update this thread as i update the car.

Congrats! Can't wait to see what else you do to the car in the near future... Need to arrange a meetup soon again man...

Congrats dude! Sold the MR2?

dark.star 09-01-2012 12:23 PM

Yeah sold the mr2 seemed redundant having an frs. But I do miss having a flyweight mid engine car. Cheers!

went to a couple car shows recently with friends and family, PSTOF 12 in Tacoma, and 2 The Beach, in Ocean's Shores, Washington. heres a couple pics along the way.... nothing new mods wise, but enjoyed the hell of it on the winding back roads of Washington state.. I will be taking it off the road in October and driving my AE.

Jeez, that makes our annual Toyota meets look like a joke! It's usually a dozen Scions, a dozen Celicas, 2 or 3 MR2's and a Camry or two. *yawn*

Yeah we had an excellent turn out, about 45 cars showed up, all mature owners too. No stupid stuff burns outs and such, respectful bunch so we can come back next years, I was the only frs, but there were lots of all 3 gens of mr2, ( it is after all an mr2 meet) About 5 mkIV supras.

We took the ferry from whitby island to port Townsend and the twisty found on the other side were absolutely bliss! 3 hours of some of the most scenic and winding roads you will find.

Injen intake is awesome so far, got about 1000km on it and it pulls hard all the way to red line, sounds amazing and looks great, no complaints at all, hits red line super quick with the perrin pulley and intake together.amazing throttle response.:party0030:
