I install my Injen short ram intake and feel the throttle response is far less responsive then it was with the stock intake. basicaly I feel the car has less power between 3k and 5k. Any input boy's?

No, I should have? And I did'tn get any CEL everything went fine.

Forget the battery, you need a tune, the intake is likely screwing with the MAF or it just sucks in that rpm range. Shame on a company that sells intakes that screw with the MAF and don't tell the customer.

yeah I bought it cause they said it did'nt need a tune, so you are saying i need a tune like ecutek tune?

These new motors are very particular about what you do to them with a stock tune... Hit up John Visconti and he can get you one.

ahausheer 08-31-2012 11:13 PM

Hmm, could be another issue if they said it doesn't need a tune. Perhaps the intake simply results in less power in the rpm range that you are describing. As far as tunes go I have very little knowledge what would be best, Im sure others on here could advise you better than I.

I don't understand why some say it's great and all, and they have more power are they day dreaming or bullshitting.

I hate to say it but Injen has never been known as high quality manufacturer. They've always been on the lower end and considered kinda cheap. Too many guys new to the game here and making mistakes cutting corners on cheap products. Im not saying blow your wad on that ARC bs but do a bit of reasearch before jumping the gun.

AIRAID FTW. Great quality, great service, and great prices... the GB was so cheap w/ AJ :)) :threadjacked:

Lots of people automatically equate extra noise with extra power...

Did you do your research before buying the intake?

Did you see the Dyno sheet?

Injen Intake only makes HP at the very end of the Rev band. In some other places, it even goes below the stock curve.
