Sonic Blue 86, Galaxy Blue deleted?

The Toyota Australia website now shows Sonic Blue as an option!

Seems the darker (Galaxy?) blue is deleted for new orders - existing orders should be fine. I also suspect those may get earlier delivery due a paint run-out (I'm betting March 2013 production).

Thoughts?

Still showing as normal on the Subaru BRZ site. But if they make it Subaru exclusive, that would be great for us few GBS BRZ orderers.

Wait, is sonic blue the same as WRB?

You guys get 86s in WRB??

I AM MAD JELLY RIGHT NOW.

No, Sonic Blue is that same colour as Galaxy Blue Silica.

I.E the same as an Ultramarine FRS.

Mate, I don't know what you mean. All colours except red have always been an "option", considering they are metallic.

Is that what you mean? I just had a look at the Toyota website and it looks like nothing has changed.

The sonic blue def looks lighter (and more like WR Blue) then the origional galaxy blue.

Devie 09-01-2012 12:53 AM

Its the exact same blue that it currently has. I remember askingt his very question when I first saw that picture compared to the one we where to be getting for the 86. The colour code is the same as the galaxy. Its a bad picture.

It sucks too as that lighter colour is absolute sex, and is my prefered colour.

Sonic blue a WRB are different colours. Sonic Blue is the same a Galaxy Blue Sililca.

Here is what sonic blue actually looks like:

I think you are right, when looking at the below link when you select 'exterior view' sonic blue is the usual dark blue pictured, then when you select 'exterior and interior color' chart it shows the light blue color pictured.

The pictures on their website are heavily rendered. The colour is totally different in person and in real pictures (same goes for most of the colours actually).

I get the same on PC (this is a flash object), but when you click exterior and interior colour chart it is the lighter blue (jpeg), as previously mentioned.
When using an iPad you only get the lighter blue (jpeg) version.

This is most likely a render issue, but I do like to think the lighter blue will become available ...
