Is there a chassis code system?
 

Hello forum people,

I'm trying to buy an 86 from Toyota Jamaica and having tremendous difficulty. They have a reputation for being difficult. They are the only dealer in the country and toyotas sell themselves so they don't have to try. If I could I would buy something else but there is nothing comparable at this price point, maybe a used s2000 :iono:
The sales people don't know what available options are. It appears to be similar to what is available to australia but I don't want to assume. Is there a chassis code I could look at to know the options on the vehicle? I am particularly concerned about to LSD, I am not buying the car without it!

Chassis code of the 86 is ZN6 just like my username.

As for the LSD, it comes standard. So youll have that no latter what

The automatic aussie GT86 doesn't come with a LSD.

And neither does the RC in Japan

You might want to post this so others with the GT86 and not the US FR-S owners can help you.

LSD is optional in G model, deleted in RC model

Does this apply to all automatic 86?

No, the LSD is available if the paddle shifter is available, the standard grade auto 86 don't have the paddle shifter and LSD.
