TPMS, LSD and Stability Control
I am thinking about getting 4 steelies with snows this winter. I found out that in my state TPMS is not mandated, and the insurance company doesn't care. I remember reading in this forum that either the LSD or Stability Control system won't turn off if the TPMS light is on. I can live with the light on all winter. But I can't find anything in Toyota's provided information to verify this about the traction control or stability control. Anyone have any official information on this?

Good question and I don't have the answer for you. I will be using stock wheels with winter tires.
New wheels and tires for the spring/summer. I'll be saving up for winter tires and then the wheels/tires for the summer. Shouldn't be a problem for me setting aside a small portion of my check every two weeks. Quote:

My TPMS light is constantly lit and I can disable all traction control measures (VSC Sport & Trac-Off). It has been said before, the TPMS system doesn't affect the TCS/VSC.

I used spare drift wheels in the rear with no TPMS at a recent drift event, and I was able to turn everything off (traction control and antiskid or whatever it is called).

I have new wheels for my FRS and can't find a TPMS service kit for when I move the sensors to the new wheels. Scion and Subaru dealers in my area have no ordering info. Can anyone help me out?
