empty parking lots

I'm not sure if this is even allowed on the forums so please take off if it is not. I've been wanting to get a feel for this car in a secluded and controlled environment aka a parking lot but I've been unable to find any around the south eastern mass area. Wondering if anyone on here would know of any good ones free of well you know

Oh, you're in Fall River. If you were closer to me I could give you the scoop. Your best bet is to do one of these in Quonset, RI:

$125, mess around all day, no working the course, no helmet or safety equipment, fun and controlled environment with other people who can give you pointers. No cops to ruin your day, because you're on an airfield with people who train police officers in high-performance driving! Because it's a non-competition setting, you're not timed and you will get way more runs and seat time than you would if you did an SCCA auto-x. I haven't done an SCCA event in a while but last time I went we were lucky to get six ~1 minute runs in an 8hr day.

I haven't been lately, but have you tried Airport Road? Or rather, the end of Airport Road where the industrial park is (not the residential side).

+1 for Drift Spot, if you wanna get the car sideways, this is the place to do it!

I'm going to do this. So open day is only on the class days right?

Turbowned 09-01-2012 10:33 AM

Yes, they have a class before they have the open event. You can opt to do it or not; I already autocross so I didn't choose to take it.

now one of my tires has very minor sidewall damage from curbing..do you think they would give me an issue during tech inspection?

Turbowned 09-03-2012 05:43 PM

Not at ADSI; you do your own tech inspection... a little silly, I know.

Tt3Sheppard 09-04-2012 12:36 PM

Hmm interesting haha. I'm debating just using my stock tires not sure yet
