HKS GT Supercharger System Product Release
 
Just released from HKS, the availability of the HKS GT Supercharger Kit for the FT86, FR-S, & BRZ.

Details as follows from HKS Japan Press Release:

In the prime eco-car, FR pure sports car "86" which I was born. Order to take advantage of a more excellent handling performance brought about by the layout and low center of gravity of body size reasonable, I sought a more power.

Please enjoy the ride of the "GT SUPERCHARGER" a reputation for high quality power feel natural.

Features:
The use of (GTS7040L) newly developed, supercharged type reversal was achieved with smart layout.

I have improved about 30% in both the maximum output, maximum torque to the normal. (Based on internal test data)

Because the valley torque around 4000rpm that is normal is resolved, it will be finished in the car easy to handle in town riding.

Order to demonstrate a wide range of torque over 4700rpm-6800rpm (245N · m), "sharp" in the mid-high rpm range is outstanding 25kgf · m.

The F-CON iS only 86, you can continue to use (the combination of direct injection and port injection) D4-S system genuine.

- Tuning via OBD II Port with F-CON iS
- If you aim to further increase the output, you need a large-capacity fuel pump and injectors.
- Rain bumper needs to be cut small hose placements, to the radiator support.

Data Provided with Stock Cat/Exhaust in place.
- Reference installation time is about 5 hours.

Stated in the press release this data is with stock exhaust components in place.

Yup but I like they mentionned stock exhaust and cat on their dyno stuff... I like being stealthy...

I wonder how a EcuTek tuned rotrex would fare... :D

Does this need installed through an authorized HKS Dealer or can the end user flash with fcon?

This is highly possible as the videos posted show the superchargers development applied to HKS D1 FT86 Race Car/Program.

It's great that HKS went as far to include that little extra bit of information.

Those dyno numbers don't reflect the endless possibilities with tuning and additional performance upgrades.

At the rate US Manufacturers and Tuners are moving with Turbo Systems, it will be exciting to see and contrast the end result in the neighboring Supercharging camp.
