issue with dealer setting lock options.
Took my car to the dealer to get the lock/unlock function to operate both doors. It's a settable feature per the manual. I sat there with the tech for 30 minutes going through all the settings we could find and couldn't locate that one. I did disable all the irritating beeping though.
Has anyone had this option adjusted? Any techs that could lead me to the right setting? I hate that my new mustang lets me set EVERY SINGLE OPTION myself that the brz requires the dealer for. Why toyo\subu, why??? |
Open the driver door with the car off, hold down the lock and panic buttons on the key fob for approx 5 seconds. When you let go the car should beep. Now both doors will unlock when you touch the door handle.

Yay it works! Thanks a bunch! My friend kept complaining cuz I have to unlock the passenger door manually each time we go driving lol. and by manually, i mean using the button inside the door panel. I guess I could use the key too lol.
But this is more convenient! Now if only the door locks automatically after 5 minutes of driving or once you reach past certain speed. Then you can unlock the door from the inside without actually unlocking the door handle, just unlock it by trying to open the door :( |
This worked, thanks! Can't believe the dealer computer couldn't do this...WTF?
